Access Partnership

Through its Access and Outreach work TU Dublin aims to promote inclusion and diversity by working collaboratively with a range of statutory, community and voluntary organisations.

These include:

Science Foundation Ireland – Discover Programme

SFI Discover Programme funding will create greater public awareness of the impact of STEM on society and everyday life, generate opportunities for dialogue and encourage diversity in STEM-related disciplines.

The TU Dublin STEM: Try Five + Project is funded under the SFI Discover Programme. STEM: Try Five + is a co-created, research-informed suite of workshops based on the theme of Space Science and Exploration developed in line with the Irish Primary School Curriculum and intended to foster, increase and sustain levels of science aspiration in primary school pupils in DEIS schools. Basis.point

Basis.point ambition is to give every child in Ireland equal access to a brighter future by funding evidence based educational programmes that tackle complex issues arising as children journey through their educational lifecycle to reach their life goals.  With our eyes on a better future, we offer hope to children who wouldn't normally have access to support structures that allow them to reach their potential.

Since 2017 basis.point has funded the TU Dublin Junior Cycle Workshop Programme which has allowed over 5,000 students for 1st to 3rd year in partner DEIS schools access a range of workshops in TU Dublin across a range of subject areas. [Link to Junior Cycle section of the website]
