Built Environment 2 is a continuation of the content from the module TFBE1001. Building Technology and Building Construction relating to Environmental Health. This module aims to further develop students understanding of Building Technology as it relates to environmental sustainability, Human Health and well being. To further the knowledge of Building Construction, drawing techniques and the design of buildings - particularly domestic (dwellings) construction imparted in TFBE1001.
Introduction to roofing - structure (Pitched and Flat). Roofing - Finishes. Timber Floors -First Floor, Ceilings / Insulation, Stairs and Ramps. Review wall finishes (General) - External. Wall finishes (General) -Internal. Principles of drainage components. Materials Studio. Drawing sessions.
