This module will allow the learner build a comprehensive understanding of the methods of strategic planning and analysis and to produce suitable strategic options for organisations. The module will develop a learner’s understanding of leading and implementing strategic plans and undergoing appropriate change in an organisation whether in the private, public or NGO sectors.The module will also introduce the learner into the key principles of effective governance. As strategy and governance in social care organisations is an ongoing and dynamic subject the syllabus content will be expanded or modified, as the case may be, to reflect developments as set out in this module.In order to progress, all components of module assessment must be passed by students – failure to successfully to complete any component will require repeat assessment/exam.
