Editorial Photography offers significant opportunities for freelance photographers in print media and online publications. Students will choose from news, fashion, still life/advertising, architecture, and portraiture assignments in real world professional contexts. students will explore ethical narrative storytelling methods taught through workshops, lectures and seminars as well as practical skills such as lighting on location, digital workflow and editing, design and magazine layout. The module also offers opportunities to work collaboratively with Journalism students, as well as learn from visiting professional editorial photographers and magazine picture editors.
