The Music Philosophy and Criticism modules offer students an opportunity to explore four topics (over six weeks each) on the development of music historiography and the philosophy of music. A range of topics will be offered each year drawing on staff research and specialisms. A key feature of the module is to develop students’ critical reading skills and the ability to assess and evaluate a range of (sometimes) divergent views.
