This module defines the substantive written component of the final year of the BA Film and Broadcasting and as such represents a culmination of previous skills obtained in modules such as media theory, cultural studies, film theory and dissertation research and preparation. The module comprise a final written dissertation that reflects the critical thinking inherent in a level 8 qualification, demonstrating the ability to assess and evaluate information, concepts and ideas in a cogent written form. The module expects the student to demonstrate an understanding of how to tailor theory and research methods to their chosen area of research.
