The aims of this module are to provide the student with a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the principles of contract law and areas of commercial law which are relevant to business. This knowledge and understanding will enable the student to operate effectively in relation to matters of a contractual nature, limit the legal exposure of the business and liaise effectively with legal advisers.As law is an ongoing and dynamic subject the syllabus content will be expanded or modified, as the case may be, to reflect developments in the law set out in this Module.

Commercial Law
Sale of goods and supply of services. Hire Purchase Agreements.
Agency Law
Creation of agency, relationship between agent and principal, agent’s authority, termination of agency.
Consumer Law
Anti-competitive agreements, decisions and concerted practices and abuse of dominance. . Role of Competition and Consumer Protection Commission. Consumer protection.
