Description: This module provides an introduction to SPSS and a second level treatment of excel for degree students.
Rationale: Students of Marketing must be able to analyse data using professional tools typically used in the Marketplace. The two most popular tools used in Marketing are SPSS and Excel.
Where: The module is positioned in the 2nd year of the program building on that covered in 1st year.
For Whom: It is designed for students who have no knowledge of SPSS and for students who have an introductory knowledge of Excel (provided in 1st year).

The students are taught in a laboratory setting. After a brief exposition of conceptual and methodological material, the student will be required to complete exercises designed to reinforce his/her understanding of the concepts and to illustrate the application of the methods under consideration to realistic business problems.
