The aim of this module is familiarise the student with the chemical and biological world as it relates to civil and building engineering. Stress is laid on practical “real life” applications of scientific principles.
To provide students with fundamental knowledge of the particular topics of chemistry biology and sustainability necessary for their study of the engineering discipline.
Laboratory Work:
To introduce the student to the concepts of chemistry experimentally and to the units, determinations and experimental measurements utilised in chemical measurements.
