The Games Dissertation module (DISS 4006) exemplifies the substantive written component in the final year of the BA Games Design Degree. As such, it represents a culmination of previous skills obtained in modules such as Ludology (Y1), Historical & Cultural Context in Games (Y2) and Games Usability (Y3). The module comprises a final written research report that reflects the critical thinking inherent in a level 8 qualification, demonstrating the ability to gather and evaluate information, concepts, and ideas in a cogent written form. The module expects the student to demonstrate an understanding of both qualitative and quantitative information/analysis and further to delineate in application of both as part of the arguments they present.
