Module Overview

Cellular Dynamics - Molecular Genetics

This foundational module will provide learners with a general introduction to the molecular biology principles upon which cells depend. Key concepts such as nucleic acid structure and function, and chromosomal organisation will be learned. The role nucleic acids play in cellular processes will be explored, from replication during cellular division to gene expression, and how these processes are regulated. The core fundamentals behind genetics will be explored, through inheritance patterns such as mendelian inheritance, and how inherited traits translate to the phenotype of an individual.
