The Skeletal System
Structure and function of the Skeletal System; The Axial Skeleton (The Skull, Thoracic Cage;& vertebral column); The Appendicular Skeleton ( The Upper Limbs, The Pectoral Girdles, The Lower Limbs the pelvic girdles).
The Musculo-Skeletal System
Identification and nomenclature of muscle tissue; The Muscles role in movement of the skeletal system.
Other Selected Organ Systems
Respiratory system; Cardiovascular system; Integumentary system; Digestive system
Laboratory preparation
Examination of key aspects of human anatomy in laboratory investigations (contained within practical skills module)
Methods used to achieve the module learning outcomes will include lectures, tutorials, interpretation of data, case studies, problem-solving exercises, video presentations, self-directed learning and computer-based learning
