Partnership

The School of Enterprise Computing and Digital Transformation actively engages with professional bodies and academies, industry partners and research bodies through our educational programmes, research activity and internship and graduate programmes.

We regularly partner and consult with leading ICT companies in developing relevant ICT programmes at undergraduate and postgraduate level. For example, the M. Sc. Computing with DevOps was designed in conjunction with leading ICT companies such as Microsoft, Fidelity, IBM, Ericsson who form the Technology Ireland Skillnet. For the M. Sc. Applied IT Architecture programme we are proud to partner with the International Association of Software Architects (IASA) and their Irish partners the Irish Computer Society (ICS) in offering the Software Architecture programme. It should be noted that this programme is recognised by the IASA for membership of the association. The school also maintains a number of industry academies including AWS Academy, Azure Academy, Dell Academy, UI Path Academy, ISACA Academic Membership, CISCO Academy, Palo Alto Academy, and Oracle Academy.

The school engages in research, development and innovation activities across a wide spectrum of national and international partners with a view to tackling some key societal issues as identified in the UN sustainability goals. Our International Research Programme has been exceptionally strong for over a decade with top Universities in Spain, Russia and Mexico. These international collaborations include joint research programmes funded in Mexico, Russia, Ireland, Spain, and the EU.

On the internship front, our experiential learning programmes, running for over 15 years, have over 100 students accessing industry internships each year. Students work across industry sectors like banking, health, pharmaceuticals, technology, insurance, civil service, public sector. Through the programme, the school has developed strong relationships with leading companies and organisations that  include AIB, Alexion, Arkphire, AWS, Yahoo, Bank of America, Bus Eireann, Colgate Palmolive, Department of Agriculture, Department of Social Protection, DELL, DHL, Dunnes Stores, Enterprise Ireland, Fathom, Fidelity Investments, FBD, GM, Guidewire, HSE, Hubspot, LetsGetChecked, Liberty IT, LIDL, Nostra, Ocuco, Openjaw, SAP, State Lab, Stryker, Tallaght University Hospital, TransPerfect, Typetec, Workday, Workhuman.
