I'm Part of a Community Organisation/Group

I'm a community partner, where do I start?

There is a range of successful and interesting collaborative Community Engaged Research and Learning (CERL) projects  already running between community groups and TU Dublin City Campus. We would be happy to work with you if you'd like to suggest ideas for applied research or learning projects for your community to undertake with TU Dublin students and staff. We also have posters showcasing a range of previous CERL projects  which may be of interest to you.

What we can do for you:

  1. Meet you to discuss and brainstorm project ideas that students could work on to support your organisation's work.
  2. Advertise your ideas/topics to TU Dublin City Campus lecturers
  3. Work to find a TU Dublin lecturer in your area(s) of interest, to partner with you on the project. If a lecturer expresses an interest in your project idea(s), we will introduce you and facilitate a project set-up and planning meeting with you.
  4. Troubleshoot any challenges you might encounter when involved in a project with students.
  5. Contact you about lecturers' ideas for projects that may be of interest to you.
  6. Provide useful resources.
  7. Promote your project(s) on our website and on Twitter.
  8. Add you to our mailing list for appropriate networking, funding and promotional opportunities.

If you would like to contact us directly we will arrange a meeting. Provided we find a suitable lecturer in TU Dublin City Campus for you to collaborate with, the next step will be for us to arrange for you to meet the lecturer, to develop your idea into a specific project which supports the students’ learning, and the goals of your community.
