TU Dublin student wins Cybersecurity Student of the Year at SC Awards Europe 2021
Congratulations to TU Dublin Digital Forensics and Cyber Security student Emma Heffernan, who has been chosen as this year’s Cybersecurity Student of Year 2021 by SC Media, at this year’s SC Digital Awards Europe.
Emma who has been shortlisted for Cybersecurity student of the year for two years in a row, was awarded the title live during the virtual award ceremony, overseen by a panel of recognised and expert judges from industry.
With a passion for all things cyber, Emma throughout her studies has engaged with secondary schools to promote cyber security and digital skills and as one of TU Dublin’s Unibuddy Ambassadors, has taken the time to engage with prospective students by answering any queries they may have in relation to undertaking studies in this area.
Due to graduate in November, Emma has recently taken on the role of Security Engineer and Operations Analyst with Dell Technologies.
