Postgraduate students presenting at SPIE Photonics Europe 2024

Published: 18 Apr, 2024
Postgraduate students from IEO/School of Physics, Clinical and Optometric Sciences presented their research at the SPIE Photonics Europe 7-11 April 2024 Conference in Strasbourg.
SPIE Photonics Europe is a cross-disciplinary event highlighting compelling optics and photonics technologies—from digital optics to quantum technologies to optical imaging, sensing, and metrology.
Luca Sorridente, Matthew Hellis, Faolan Radford McGovern and Owen Kearney covered a range of topics,  from holographic sensors for detection of volatile organic compounds, holographic materials for use in Space, holographic diffusors for treating visual conditions like amblyopia and diplopia, to holographically structured surfaces for bacteria detection.
Congratulations to our students for the excellent presentations and for promoting TU Dublin research!
